Did you know that you can practice your spoken German with the Easy German team on a daily basis? Engage in spontaneous conversations with other learners on Discord, or join our moderated Zoom conversational classes, where you can improve your German speaking skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Moderated Zoom Calls

We offer moderated Zoom calls with the Easy German team five times per week (occasionally, calls may be canceled due to national holidays or unforeseen circumstances). In these calls, we always focus on one specific topic, so you can pick up new vocabulary and actively use it in conversation. After a quick introduction with the entire group, we split into smaller breakout rooms to make sure everyone gets a chance to practice.

Additionally, we provide audio rooms on Discord where you can practice spontaneously with other German learners and talk about anything that interests you four times per day:

How to Join

Step 1: Become a Member

To join our conversation groups, sign up for our Conversation Membership. You can choose to pay monthly or annually (and get a discount). We’ll send you an email with all the information you need after you sign up.

Step 2: Join us on Discord

Once you’re a member, make sure to create an account on Discord and connect it to your Easy German account. You’ll find information for all upcoming conversation groups in the section Conversation Members.

  • Besides our daily conversation groups, you also automatically receive all of the perks of our other membership levels, such as interactive worksheets, transcripts, vocab lists, outtakes and bonus content for our videos and podcast episodes. You can find an overview of all membership perks here.

  • Yes! If you sign up for the monthly membership plan, you pay month-by- month and can cancel at any time.

  • We welcome learners of all levels to our Conversation Groups. If you’re a complete beginner, you may not be able to understand everything that’s discussed in the conversation, but we’ll make sure to explain important vocabulary and answer any questions via the chat.

    We also offer a dedicated call for beginners once per week.

  • It depends! There are usually a few dozen learners in a call. We create several break-out sessions with only 3-4 people in every Zoom call, so you’ll be able to practice speaking in a small and familiar atmosphere.

  • You’ll need to install Zoom on your phone or computer to join our moderated Zoom calls. You don’t need to create a Zoom account to join.

  • Our membership is designed for individuals aged 18 and above. Due to legal reasons, underaged children cannot sign up for our membership independently.

  • During conversation calls, participants split into smaller groups, and we cannot directly oversee all individual discussions. For this reason, we cannot guarantee child-friendly content within these settings. If underaged learners wish to participate, we strongly recommend that they only do so with the guidance and supervision of a parent or legal guardian to ensure a safe and suitable learning experience.
