The Easy German Grammar Challenge is a 10 day-long-challenge. Each day, the night before the day starts, we post a new challenge for you on our Discord server.

The goal is to improve your German grammar skills through small writing tasks. It's also an opportunity to engage with fellow learners and enjoy little insights in everyone’s lives together. Furthermore, we will get together each day in an optional Zoom call to review your solutions and answer your questions.

Our daily Zoom calls will take place at 5pm (Berlin time). You will find the Zoom link in our channel "📞 daily-zoom-calls" in the Grammar Challenge section on Discord.

Yes, the Zoom calls will be recorded and shared as a replay, so members who can’t join the calls will be able to watch them later on.

Please note: Live questions may be audible in the replay. You can join with camera off, change your display name, and use the chat if you do not want to speak live.

To join the Grammar Challenge, you'll simply need to become a member of Easy German in any membership level for the duration of the challenge. Once you're a member, you'll get access to our Discord server, where our challenges will be conducted.

Yes, no problem at all! You can join our Grammar Challenge at any time. Previous challenges and threads will be available for you to catch up at your own pace.

The cost of the Easy German membership depends on the membership level you select.

Absolutely! We offer a monthly subscription option that you can cancel at any time. This allows you to participate in the Grammar Challenge and also experience other benefits of being an Easy German member for a month or two.

Discord is a free chat app that you can use on your computer and phone. We use it to communicate and chat with our members. To join, you'll need to link your Membership Platform account to your Discord account — it takes less than 5 minutes and we have a tutorial on how to do this here.

Once you're in, you'll see a variety of text channels where you can chat about everything from everyday life to philosophical topics in German.

You'll also see a section called "🏆grammar-challenge" — this is where we'll facilitate our daily discussions and tasks.

Yes! The Grammar Challenge is open to learners of all levels. The tasks will have different levels of difficulty — and you're free to choose whichever level you feel confident tackling.

Definitely. Our Grammar Challenge is conducted online, so you can participate from anywhere in the world. All you need is a phone or computer with internet access.

How much time you spend on the tasks will be very individual, depending on the level you choose and your personal pace. In total there is a time commitment to be expected between 5 to 20 minutes a day for the writing task. You then also have the option to attend our daily calls which are expected to last up to an hour.

The discussions are conducted in a forum on Discord. After reading each day’s task, members can join the challenge of the day by posting in the thread. Besides that you can ask questions, or respond to others' posts. The atmosphere is friendly and open, with everyone encouraged to participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.

Each day, we provide a German grammar task as your daily challenge. The topics of the tasks vary and will involve many different aspects of German grammar, for example reflexive verbs, connectors, past tenses and much more.

The tasks will have different levels of difficulty — and you're free to choose whichever level you feel confident tackling.

That's completely fine! The Grammar Challenge is self-paced, so if you miss a day, you can always catch up later. The important thing is to enjoy the process and learn at a pace that's comfortable for you.
